Me Again

Just read this over at defective yeti. Had me laughing 'til I wheezed. I'm never going to be able to look at Michael Corleone the same way again.

Now there's a thing about The Godfather I don't understand, and that is why everyone dislikes the third one so much. I think it is terrific - a natural development from the other two, and the whole opera house thing is wonderful, I think.

Have another cannoli...

I don't know why people don't like 2 and 3. I enjoyed them all. Did you ever read the book it came from? I was visiting my parents for a week one summer, bored, had finished my own book and looking for another when I found a copy of it on their shelves. Good stuff. Next time I came to visit, we rented all three parts of The Godfather and then followed it up the The Freshman. That's the way to do it. After all that tragedy we needed a little comedy. Cleansed the palate.
